Lieuwe Visser, born 1940

Lieuwe Visser debuted in 1973 as Don Basilio in 'Il barbiere di Siviglia' (Rossini). In 1966 he co-operated at the 'Holland Festival' and afterwards at lots of premieres, a.o. 'Dorian Gray' (1974, Wilde/Kox), 'Dr. Faustus' (1985, K. Boehmer), 'Gassir the Hero' (1991, Loevendie), 'Noach' (1995, G. Janssen). He appears serious as well as buffo roles in a very wide repertoire. He is also an active concert- ,oratorio- and lieder singer and declamator. Further appearances in Europa and the U.S.
