The Van Beinum discography is enhanced with a number of CDs all with the Concertgebouw unless otherwise indicated: Eduard van Beinum made many
recordings. The only Mahler he recorded is The Song of the Earth
and Songs of a Wayfarer, although he performed most of
symphonies (radio tapes exist of the Third and Sixth Symphonies and
are being considered for release). |

BRUCKNER: Symphony No. 4 in E Flat "Romantic" .....this is an important document, because on this moment of these
great Bruckner-interpreter there exists alone recordings of the last
three symphonies and a live recording of the Fifth. It is a very
successfully performance, who particularly in the final part touches
by the firm handling.....

- 97015 This set is awarded with the 'Edison Classical Music Award 2001' for special releases of historical interest.The set contains most of the Van Beinum broadcasts during the period 1939-1957, both as conductor and pianist (Bach concerto for two harpsichords on the piano!). All the orchestral recordings are with the Concertgebouw Orchestra. This is on the Q-disc label, which is part of Centrum Nederlandse Muziek; album number 97015.
