Evert Miedema (1887-1979)

 

Evert Miedema was active as a concert-singer and as opera-singer. He appeared in the role of Fenton in the first performance of Falstaff (Verdi) in the Netherlands on 25 April 1917 in the Hague and sang other lyric tenor-parts as Faust, Wilhelm Meister (Mignon), Walter von der Vogelweide (Tannhäuser). He sang in Dutch works as 'Halewijn' (Pijper) and 'Het beeld' (Jan Rijken) and appeared also abroad. He was a member of the 'Jo Vincent Quartet' and besides also active as photographer and designing artist.
