Jules Moes - also known as Julius
Peters - started his singing-career in the operetta (The Mikado,
Sullivan), later he sang dramatic roles in opera. He joined from
1910 until 1914 the 'Deutsches Theater' in Prague and appeared
from there many times at the major German opera-houses. In the
Netherlands he was to hear among others in new Dutch works as
''Die Schneider von Schönau' (Jan W.F. Brandts Buys) and
in the premiers of 'Warhold' (1918, Theo van der Bijl) and 'Beatrijs'
(1925, Willem Landré).
His singing-career last until
1940 (Manrico, Trovatore).
